Virtual Center - Adding metrics for your statistics

By default, Virtual Center only displays a limited amount of performance data within its statistics section.  This is how you change it do display much more.

  •  Logon to Virtual Center via the Virtual Infrastructure Client
  • Goto ‘Administration’ and then to ‘Virtual Center Management Server Configuration’

Virtual Center Menu

  • Then choose stastics

  • From there > Select the Interval Duration and click Edit
  • Change the Statistic Level from 1 to 4 depending on what level of detail is required
  • There is a nice utility at the bottom which will estimate the space required in the Virtual Center database for statistic collection at this level.
